Dear Families,
The Onamia Secondary School realizes that this is a unique learning year for all students, families and staff. Even though students are in a variety of learning models, attendance is still very important and a district policy. Students are expected to be present in all scheduled classes, everyday.
We are asking that students and families help with attendance by following the guidelines below:
- All students in attendance at the start of class (in person and distance learners) will be marked present. If learners are not present, they will be marked absent for that class period.
- If your student is a distance learner and late to class, send an email to the classroom teacher or call the high school office at 320-532-4174.
- If the student is having difficulties joining their Google classrooms, please email the teacher or call the high school office for assistance.
- If the student is unable to attend their scheduled classes, they are marked absent. Email the teacher or call the high school office to inform us of the absence and the reason why.
We are here to help and support our students and families during this unprecedented educational time. Our attendance policy is still in effect and we need your partnership to ensure a successful 2020-21 school year.
If you need meals, technology support, or mental health/wellness support, please call the high school office 320-532-4174 or call their direct line:
