1st Grade - Mrs. Lancaster

My name is Sarah Lancaster, and I am thrilled to be your child’s teacher this year. I am excited to say that I am returning for my fourth year here at Onamia Elementary. I can’t wait to spend the school year getting to know you and your child.  I was born in Onamia, and attended school here for preschool up through graduation from Onamia High School in 2009. Afterward I attended Saint Cloud State University to complete the teaching program, and was fortunate enough to internship through the Minneapolis Public School District to gain experience teaching in the inner city. I graduated in May of 2013, and received my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education.

During my first two years here I taught third grade, and this is now my second year in first grade. I am very active in the community, and am involved with Girl Scouts, Zumba Fitness, Family Fun Nights, and coaching Junior High Speech, Volleyball, Track, and directed the annual high school musical.

I find myself being strongly motivated to provide a valuable sense of community involvement, and am always willing to work hard in order to strengthen the area we live in. I look forward to being able to give back to the community that once helped to set me up for success.

I appreciate the opportunity to work with you and your child, and to provide a positive education experience within your family. If you have any questions, or if there is anything else you would like to know please do not hesitate to contact me.
