Mille Lacs Area Partners For Youth

The Mille Lacs Area Partners for Youth (MLAPFY) brings together the Isle and Onamia Public Schools to provide a broad array of quality, intentional out-of-school time programs for older youth and their families.

The MLAPFY project views youth holistically by addressing social, emotional, academic, and health needs, while also fostering 21st Century skills development, increasing school-community connectedness, and improving academic outcomes. Collaborating with two partner organizations – the MAPP Coalition and the Mille Lacs Band Niigaan Program – primary activities to be provided include arts and technology initiatives, hands-on entrepreneurial experiences, leadership opportunities, and the chance for youth to engage in sustained physical activities.
